Semiotics and semantics of religious beliefs in traditional medicine

Abstract

In article the author sets as the purpose to show semiotics and semantics of religious beliefs in aspect of traditional medicine. A task is detection of value of the pre-Islamic and connected with Islam religious beliefs in traditional medicine. In article one of the directions of national knowledge – traditional medicine features of treatment, and application of religious practices during it is considered. The types of treatment based on religious beliefs have been systematized. The author considers communication of the treatment applied in traditional medicine with religious beliefs, analyzes semiotics and semantic value of treatment.

When writing article the author is based on the principle of historicism, and in the analysis of types of treatment by a comparative and analytical method. Article acquaints with the Kazakh national knowledge, differentiates the types of treatment originating since pre-Islamic times and which have appeared with the statement of Islam and also, considers some types of traditional medicine which exist still.
