In this article, the author examines the issues of political relations between the Kazakh Khanate and the government of the Shibanid dynasty in Maverrennakhra at the end of the 16th century, based on medieval Persian historical sources, as well as Soviet and domestic historiographic materials. A brief overview of the overall political situation in the two countries will determine the main causes of political relations between the two countries. The Kazakh Khanate is the main opponent of the Shiban tribe, seeking to establish a connection with the Iranian Safavid dynasty. A simultaneous trip of two strangers to Mavernenhr, the author believes that this was a planned action. Earlier in the national historiography about Tauekel Khan, only one campaign in Maveronnakhr in the years 1597-1598 was reported. The author, analyzing the reduction of sources, asserts about two campaigns. One – during the life of the ruler of Kavernahra, and the second – after the death of the ruler. As a result of these trips, the Turkestan region and the Tashkent region will be fully annexed to the Kazakh Khanate. This process, in turn, leads to the completion of the formation of the Kazakh ethnoterritory.
