Kazakh toponymics of the Omsk region (1st quarter of the ХX th century.)

Abstract

In this article the authors examine the issues of Kazakh toponymics formation in the  Omsk Region (1 qtr. XX century.). The author emphasizes the influence of historical, ethnic and cultural factors on the formation of geographic onomastics study region, shows the place of settlement of the Kazakh nomadic history of Kazakh settlements in Western Siberia and the Omsk region. The authors, citing historical sources and archival materials, argue that Kazakhs argyn clan on this territory settled for a long time (since the XIII century.). Also, in the article  is given the  analysis the number of the ethnic composition of the population and the problem of settlement of the region. At the same time, the authors emphasize the features of the administrative division of the region –territorial            in historical dynamics, as in the era of imperial Russia, and the beginning of the Soviet period. Of particular value are used in the article archive sources, materials of the time and folkloric sources.
