Features of ethnoculture of the Kumyk diaspora in Kazakhstan

Abstract

The article examines one of the major Türkic tribes of the North Caucasus Kumyk ethnos. The origins of the formation of the Kumyk people, ethnic history, linguistic features, and the number of Kumyks' settlement in other countries are being studied. Special attention is paid to the works of K.M. Aliev, where the history of the origin of the Kumyks is covered, periodization of the origin of the Kumyks is given.

The authors consider ethnoses living in Dagestan, forced resettlement in Kazakhstan, areas of dispersion, their historical destiny on the basis of the theoretical-methodological and source base. The process of adaptation in Kazakhstan is being studied. They also strictly adhered to their traditions, analyzed the peculiarities of the customs of the Kumyk people, their diligence, tolerance, economy, material, including clothing and spiritual culture
