Abstract

The article deals with the problems of the colonial policy of the tsarist empire, measures for the elimination of the Kazakh Khanate and the reasons for strife and weakening of the Kazakh Khanate at this historic juncture. The tsarist government, obtaining information about the internal situation in the Kazakh territory, began handing out various positions and ranks, to eliminate Khan’s power, first in the Junior and Middle zhuzah, and then in the internal Bukeyev Horde. We consider the movement of the Kazakh people against the abolition of the Khan’s power, especially the actions of the Kazakh aristocracy – «aқsүyek ‘such as Karatay Sultan, as well as a national liberation uprising of Kazakh people against the colonial policy. We study the causes of such problems as distortion in the research on this topic and an underestimation of these issues. Key words: politics of the empire, colonization, regulations, administrative management
