Abstract

This article focuses on the processes of formation of the Turkic ethnic
groups after the Mongol invasion. There are issues of integration, assimilation and cross­breeding of ethnic groups, members of the Turkic civilization. Since the majority of Mongols, after their campaigns gradually
dissolved in the Turkic array of Central Asia and the Volga region. Saving
often ancient Mongolian tribal names, they lost their language, musulmanization, know them mingled with the nobility of Turkic tribes.
Also this article discusses the formation of new tribal unions, who
mixed during the endless conquests and migrations, settling on new lands,
thus expanded the political boundaries of the great Steppe. On lands broken up and separated uluses of the Mongol Empire, Genghis Khan managed, began a new phase of the Turkic ethnogenesis – the initial stage of
formation of the modern Turkic peoples.
