Thoughts state’s head on the medieval history of Kazakhstan: analysis and scientific generalization

Abstract

The author of this article has attempted to address the problems of medieval history of Kazakhstan through the analysis of the thoughts of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev presented in the book “In the flow of history” (Astana, 1999). The author substantiates by documentary materials and the latest historical research the idea of the President that the formation of the Kazakh Khanate is a key moment in the history of the Kazakh people, which had social and political importance in the history of Central Asia. Further, the author expands the idea of the head of state on the periodization of the ethnic history of the Kazakh people, the etymology of the ethnonym “Kazakh” and “Uzbek”. Furthermore, the author undertook a comparative study of ethnonyms, content and their significance in the medieval history of Kazakhstan. The author believes that the work of N.A.Nazarbayev “In the stream of history” contributes to the theoretical study of the problems of medieval history of Kazakhstan.
