Historical and cultural monuments of Kyzylorda oblast: analysis of problems of systematization, study and conservation

Abstract

The article deals with the preservation, dissemination, study and restoration of historical and cultural monuments located in the territory of the Kyzylorda region. As the criteria for assessing the activities of local executive bodies, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of July 2, 1992 “On the Protection and Use of Historic and Cultural Heritage Sites” was adopted. Monuments of history and culture, located within the Kyzylorda region, were included in seven conditionally separated regions, including the city of Kyzylorda. The article examines the results of ongoing research on the monuments of Syganak, Zhankent and Chirik-Rabad, as well as further study of the cities of Gent, Asanas and Sortobe. In addition, the list of restored monuments on the territory of the region in 2004-2017 is given. The article also notes the results of the scientific and methodological council, established in 2013, on the issues of studying, preserving, popularizing and using the historical and cultural heritage of the Kyzylorda region.
