From the history of the teachers ‘ seminaries of Turkistan’s, Steppe’s general – governorate (1879-1917 years)

Abstract

This article examines the history of the formation and development of Turkestan teacher’s Seminary (1879), Orsk-Orenburg Kazakh teacher’s school (1883), Semipalatinsk teacher’s Seminary (1903), Aktobe male teacher’s Seminary (1913), Ural teacher’s Seminary (1913), Vernensky teacher’s Seminary (1913), Akmola teacher’s Seminary (1916), as well as the best schools that were formed at these educational institutions. In addition, the author examines the rules concerning these educational institutions; the specific features of each institution; types of subjects taught in these seminaries. The article studies the national and religious composition of teachers and seminarians, duties of Trustees and mentors, level of progress, types of scholarships, book Fund, educational work and information about graduates who have graduated from these seminaries.
