STUDY OF ARCHIVES IN KAZAKHSTAN DURING THE SOVIET PERIOD

Abstract

There are practically no historiography studies on the history of archival affairs in Soviet Kazakhstan. During the Soviet period, numerous studies were published: from reports and articles to voluminous monographs on archival affairs in Kazakhstan. Based on this, the purpose of the article is a historiography analysis of studies devoted to the history of archival affairs in Kazakhstan. The works of Soviet scientists examined the issues of the history of archives, archival funds, their types and features, the theory and practice of archival science, the source study significance of archival documents in the union republics of that period, including in our country. The research methodology was a phenomenological approach that reveals the essence and content of scientific works, their advantages and disadvantages. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the systematic generalization of scientific research on the development of archival affairs in Kazakhstan from 1917 to 1991. , defining new tasks and directions in archival science of Kazakhstan, developing methodological guidelines and searches in studying the history of archival affairs. The scientific result of the presented article was the definition of a number of problems that require thorough study in the history of the formation of archival affairs in Kazakhstan and recommendations for their study were developed.
