The purpose of this article is to introduce the tasks of artificial intelligence into library activities, to determine its analysis, to compare the advantages and disadvantages of input in action, to compile AI technology, to determine the types of use cases in the field of library work. Special attention is paid to several types of AI used in foreign library activities. Along with this, descriptions of the works of foreign scientists written on this topic are given. Considering the works of scientists, a descriptive method was used in the article. The main directions of using AI by modern libraries were demonstrated. In this paper, the term "artificial intelligence" was used, emphasizing the special importance of the library international organization IFLA. The importance of AI in providing fast and prompt, and most importantly in high-quality work of services is determined. The practical significance of this work mainly lies in improving the quality of library services with the help of AI. As a result of the study, it was proved that AI is not used by many libraries and huge amounts of money are required for implementation. At the same time, the knowledge of AI management of library staff also has an impact, which in turn limits the full use of AI.
