Abstract

Information technologies are in demand in modern science, including in archaeological science,
work is underway to use the latest technologies. In recent years, when studying the Stone Age and
Bronze Age of the northeastern Aral Sea region, it is especially important to compile a list of previously
discovered monuments in the region, collect data about them, archaeological mapping, methods of one
of the natural sciences, and the use of a geographic information system.
In this article, the authors have collected information about the archaeological exploration work
carried out on the territory of the Aral, Kazalinsky, Syrdarya, Karmakshinsky, Zhalagash regions of the
North-Eastern Priaralye in the field season 2018-2021. Monuments collected from scientific articles,
scientific reports of various archaeological expeditions carried out in the region, where in the 50-60s of
the twentieth century, the campsites were lost.
Currently, the GIS program includes geographic coordinates and photographs of newly discovered
Paleolithic, Neolithic, Eneolithic and Bronze Age sites. The article provides a summary of the history of
use and theories regarding the GIS program. The authors, taking into account the world experience in the
GIS program, prepared several maps related to the monuments of the Stone-Bronze Age in the region.
