Projects «Societies of archaeology, history and ethnography» at the Kazan university in the second half of ХIХ century

Abstract

In the article the analysis of activity of “Society of archaeology, histories and ethnographys”, is presented at the Kazan university. By means of various forms, beginning from lecture-propagandist ac- tivity, and also bringing in of local public on the scientific disputes, the members of scientific societies, including well-known professors, realized projects and executed an elucidative mission in relation to the nomads of South Ural, influenced on forming of world view of students. “Society of archaeology, histo- ries and ethnographys”, at the Kazan university became a center, coordinating activity, both specialists studying multinational Volga-Ural region and Western region of the Kazakh edge and numerous army of correspondents – connoisseurs of folk way of life.
