INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION OF THE KAZAKH ARCHAEOLOGIST

Abstract

On November 3, 2019, the government of Japan published a list of foreign citizens to be awarded orders on behalf of Emperor Naruhito of Japan. Professor Taimagambetov Zhaken kozhakhmetovich, former Dean of the faculty of history, archaeology and ethnology of Al-Farabi KazNU (2002-2014), was noted among the knights of the "Order of the Rising sun, Golden rays with a neck ribbon"  for his contribution to deepening scientific relations and promoting mutual understanding between Japan and Kazakhstan.
