Abstract

The article presents the results of research conducted on the territory of the SKO, where stone sculptures and a bronze dagger were found. These sculptures were accidentally found by local residents in the autamn of 2017. The study provides an opportunity to reconstruct the medieval burial-commemoration ceremony of the Turkic tribes inhabiting the foothills of the Greater Karatau. This area was supposedly a sacred place in the Middle Ages and had semiotic importance.
