«Avesta» – historiographical source of Antiquity

Abstract

The article analyzes the content of a set of sacred texts zoroastriycheskoy religion – Avesta, which until recently has not been translated into the Kazakh language. Showing the appearance and structure of the works which was founded in the writing of history on ordinary knowledge of mythological, religious outlook, ie on providentialism. Excerpts from «Avesta», which is considered a source of historiographical era of antiquity, disclosed the contents of its component parts – such as Hymns: Ardvi-sura, Sun, Mitra, Asha, Vertragna (the god of war and victory), Pharn, Bendidat. Attention is drawn to the fact that the content of the «Avesta» is the praise get here, good on the ground. It is proved that all the works of the content is threefold ethic of Zoroastrianism, the most valuable qualities of humanity: good thoughts, good words and good deeds. The estimation of the value of the Avesta.
