Zhangir Khan and issues of the Kazakh-Jungar respect in the XVII century

Abstract

In this article the author examines one of the most urgent problems of the medieval history of Kazakhstan – Kazakh-Jungar relations in the second half of the XVII century and some moments of life of Kazakh Khan – Zhangir in that period. Author on certain points of the problem putting forward his arguments and judgments gives rebuttal approved concepts in science to this day. Analyzing each information source with the development of the social life of that time he makes his conclusions. Specifically, on the issue of exemption of Khan Zhangir from Djungariancaptivity, on the issue of Zhangir Khan coming to power, on the Kazakh-Jungar wars in 16431644, and founds new views on the death Zhangir Khan.
