Heraldry, military symbolism: Past and Present

Abstract

The article deals with the origin and development of heraldry, military symbols. With the birth of states appeared symbols of this state. They borrowed and improved, as well as the state, that is, reflect the history of his era. Nowadays the heraldry has become a science, many states created heraldic service, not only the state but also public associations, parties, state agencies, enterprises develop their heraldry and symbols. Heraldry, thanks to the work of researchers in the development went beyond the application of discipline, as it was previously. The military symbols have their own specificity, its own characteristics, they expressed not only way of military service, but above all the readiness of servicemen with dignity and honor to defend their homeland.
