Mothers and Khanums in the Age of the Kazakh Khanate
Abstract
The article is devoted to the institution of motherhood during Khan’s age.
In general, respect for the mother in the history of the Kazakh people is a continuous value from ancient times to the present day. A striking example of respect for the mother can be considered during the Khan’s age.
The study of this problem is possible by the following sources: 1) Data from written sources; 2) Examples of oral literature; 3) monuments of material art.
In particular sources XVI-XVIII provide full information on the issue of institution of motherhood.
