From the history of the resettlement of kazakhs in Mongolia

Abstract

In the article in the 2nd half of the XIX century the resettlement of the Kazakhs nomads in the Western part of China in the Mongolian region Kobda.To determine the causes of resettlement of Kazakhs in Mongolia, scientists Kazakh immigrants from Mongolia have studied the writings and travel notes of Russian travelers and scientists 2nd half of the ХІХ century. As a result, it was found that the Kazakhs moved to Mongolia since the late 60-ies and early 70-ies of the XIX century and for several reasons the resettlement of Kazakhs from Altai aimag in Kobda. Also the resettlement of Kazakhs in Mongolia is not in the interests of the local population. The necessity of joint movement caused a protest among the Mongols. Therefore, the Qing government and local governors strongly resisted the resettlement of the Kazakhs, tried to force the Kazakhs to return to former pastures. The resettlement of Kazakhs in condo land problems were solved not in their favor, leaders of the Uighurs demanded the Kazakhs fee for use of pastures. After the victory of people’s revolution in Mongolia in 1923, was conducted the population census, according to which the number of Kazakhs kordoski was estimated in 1870 families.Kazakhs migrated in 60s-70s of the XIX century from the Altai aimag in Kobdo was part of the modern Kazakh Diaspora in Mongolia.
