Abstract

As part of the state program of Ruhani zhangyru («Intangible Cultural Heritage») in August 2018, the Mangystau Museum-Reserve organized an ethnographic expedition to the Mangistau region, Republic of Kazakhstan, in which the author participated. One of the research directions of the project was the project «In the footsteps of Richard Karutz. 100 years later». Based on the ethnographic information contained in the work of the scientist «Among Kyrgyz and Turkmen in Mangyshlak», on the collection collections of museums of Mangystau, as well as on the collected field material, we can state the continuity of textile traditions in this region.
