Activity of Nazir Torekulov in transition to latininess at the beginning of the XX century

Abstract

Article is devoted public to both the statesman Nazir Torekulov and his activities in the adoption of the Latin alphabet. Latin script was in 1929-1940 official in Kazakhstan. At the same time it should be noted its personal qualities. The analysis of his social and political activity and creativity is given. Together with it recommendations for a personnel of the personality are made. The transition to the Latin alphabet is just a matter of time, he asserted and was an active supporter of the adoption of the Latin alphabet in the First All-Union Turkic Congress in Baku.Nazir Torekulov by Kazakh nationality – was one of the first Soviet diplomats of that period, the personality who has left a mark gold letters in domestic science. The research of life and activity of the famous sons of the people who haven’t fairly become enemies of the people – is one of priority problems of history.
