"Digital universe 4.0: winter school of librarians"

Abstract

The library was created in ancient times as a public repository of written monuments. Currently, more than 11,000 libraries are working in Kazakhstan. In the 21st century, the public role of the library has changed, the library has become an institution working within the framework of digital information.
In order to discuss the current issue of the library in the digital world, on February 23-24, 2023, the Faculty of History of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Department of World History, Historiography and Data Science organized the first winter conference of librarians entitled "Digital World 4.0: New Trends and Tasks for the Library Community". school was organized.
Akram Habibullah, professor of the Indiana University of the USA, bibliographer, head of the library and archive department of the Islamic History, Culture and Research Center (IRCICA) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation of Turkey (IRCICA), Dr. Didar Bayyr, Director General of the National Library of Jordan, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, contributed to the work of the winter school. Nidal Ibrahim Muhammad al-Ahmad, Tamador Mukahal, master of information and archival science of the National Library of Jordan, and scientists and leading specialists working in the field of libraries from near foreign countries - the head of the Department of "Library Information Systems" of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorezmi, Professor B. .I.Ganieva, senior teacher of Bishkek State University named after K.Karasaev M.N. Teishova, Associate Professor of the Department of Library and Information Services and Intellectual Systems of the Kazan State Institute of Culture N.G.Yashina, Deputy General Director for Development of Priority Areas of Saratov IPR MEDIA V.V. Kutueva shared the current issues of the library industry.
